Test and Review
reviewicoWe tested the ISDN 4BRI card with 1 x FXS , the respective tests were:

⇒ Connect to BRI ISDN Point-to-Multipoint from Telecom Italia
⇒ Connect to  a FXS Analogue Telephone
⇒ Connect to the Fast Ethernet port on the network 192.168.1.0

The Poistron Asterisk Card has been inserted on a server with 1 GB of RAM and processor basis.
The operating system used was a Ubuntu 9:04
The card was immediately recognized on the PCI bus and we were able to access it via browser.
Here are the steps for configuring and screenshots:

>> Access through browser

>> 4 Configuring ISDN BRI
The ISDN BRI were at 2 x RJ45 ports each connected to a splitter to give us  a total of 4 BRI (8 channels simultaneous)

>> Management of the Interior (SIP, IAX and / or analog FXS)

posi4

>> Call 6005 indoor Zoiper based SIP phone to FXS 6001

Positron cards have the huge advantage of being able to be installed on board  any PC / Server without any pre-installed drivers being required to function. Unlike competitors the Positron Asterisk Cards can be used on Linux and Windows (2003).

Positron has also developed a Master / Slave high reliability for the synchronization of two cards in order to implement redundant solutions with automatic backup and recovery in case of fault.

The CPU load during testing was very minimal, even on the ASIC used for the management of eco cancel and Blackfin adopted for the transcoding.

>> Called from inside the urban line to ISDN BRI
The Web Console monitoring allows you to make tracking of calls (call-stage set-up, trying, ringing, etc …)

>> Inbound call from ISDN inwards 6001

The configuration of routing incoming BRI calls is carried out using the special section “Incoming Calls”.
